Outsourced administration department

Many of us have worked in large companies, with plenty of resources [in stronger economic times] to support an administration department; a department with near magical powers to whom we could turn to make things run smoothly and take away our day-to-day hassles. The ‘go-to’ people as the Americans would say.

Efficiency

An administration department is the backbone of many organisations, the small cog that keeps all the other wheels turning, providing the procedures, processes and structure by which other functions operate. It’s the role of the admin department to ensure the smooth running of operations and bring about efficiencies through best practice. This type of efficiency needn’t just be enjoyed by larger organisations, however. Fridaygirl is here to offer this service to smaller organisations.

Quite often a small business is formed out of someone’s love of a certain type of work, maybe joinery, or boat building or tree surgery and their desire to work for themselves. Just because that person excels at such work doesn’t mean they have any experience or interest in looking after the administrative aspects of running a business. That’s where we come in. We don’t know much about dovetail joints, hull repairs or arboriculture but we do know an awful lot about their paperwork equivalent.

From our collective breadth of experience, across many industry sectors over many years, we will usually have come across a similar situation which we can call upon to inspire us to produce the most efficient and smooth-running solution for our clients.

Thinking one step ahead

The fridaygirls are pro-active. We are trained to think one or two steps ahead, to anticipate future needs, to foresee potential issues and plan for those eventualities. We go and find the answers to questions, instead of waiting for things to happen. We think about the next stage in the process and if we can do it, we will. We’re only finished with a task when the goal has been achieved or we’re not qualified to take it any further.

Processes/procedures

Our aim is simply to provide the benefits of large company best practice and procedures to smaller businesses without any unnecessary bureaucracy.

We’re obsessive about administration because we know good record keeping and at-your-fingertips information are vital to effective decision making.

Remember, fridaygirls are not just super administrators - we’re also business owners ourselves, which means we have experience of the many issues affecting small businesses. And since you only pay for the work we do, there’s no need for you to employ a full time member of staff unless you have the space, equipment, work requirement and inclination to do so.

For your peace of mind we are registered for Data Protection with the Information Controller, all waste documentation is cross-cut shredded prior to disposal and our computer system is backed up remotely off site every night to prevent against data loss.
